GIVE THE GIFT OF DANCE!
Help us help Veterans and families in need
We are Dancing Well: The Soldier Project.
Our mission is to restore the well-being of Veterans and families affected by PTSD and brain injury through community dance.
The Dancing Well program has been scientifically proven to improve wellness in Veterans with PTSD:
Dancing Well has also been recognized by the Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs.
Dancing Well has received two Creative Forces programming grants (in 2022 and 2023) to support its ground-breaking work and was one of just three organizations invited to lead participatory dance workshops at its annual convening in Washington, DC, in 2024.

Read Roosevelt’s Story
Roosevelt took to Dancing Well immediately and benefited tremendously. As his wife said, “I haven’t seen him smile this much in probably a few years.” He has now moved out of state, but we are thrilled to have him on our Board of Advisors!
